$5,000,000 A father was picking up his child from school. He was parked at a curb, in front of a school bus. As he was standing next to his car, the school bus pulled away and passed him, but did so without leaving adequate space, causing him to be injured between his car and the passing bus. He captured the entire accident on his GoPro, leaving the defense with little to counter argue. He sustained injuries in his shoulder, hip, and left ankle. He also had to get multiple surgeries, including a cervical fusion operation.
