$800,000 This case involved a slip and fall outside of a store in Brooklyn, New York. On the date of the accident, the plaintiff was walking with her son. As she was walking in front of the defendants store she slipped and fell on ice. We were able to show that the ice had been there for a significant amount of time. In addition, we showed that the defendant did not properly maintain the area, which allowed the ice to become covered in snow. Plaintiff suffered a fracture to her ankle requiring both hardware and subsequent removal of that hardware. The defendant refused to settle initially.
