$2,920,000 A woman was injured when she tripped over a mis-leveling elevator in a luxury apartment building in which she worked as a caretaker for a special needs child. As she was walking into the elevator the floor of the elevator suddenly jumped up several inches. Plaintiff’s foot got caught on the raised portion of the elevator floor causing her to trip and fall violently into the elevator. She sustained serious injuries, including fractures to her arm, and head, knee, neck, and back injuries. She had surgeries to her wrist, knee, and neck as a result of this accident.
