$294,780.92 arbitration award for a 42-year-old Long Island housewife who was caused to slip and fall in the bathroom of her rented apartment. Our client had a significant fracture of her foot resulting in a complex surgery with the implantation of hardware. This was a sharply disputed claim where the defendants denied responsibility every step of the way. In the end, we were able to discredit the defendant owner of the property because the apartment he was renting was illegal and not properly permitted.
