$450,000 settlement for woman with a fractured ankle from head-on collision. Defendant’s insurance limits were only $100,000. We successfully argued to the Appellate Division that defendant was engaged in employment at the time of the accident, even though he was in his own personal vehicle, off premises and the accident did not occur during his normal work hours. The employer contributed $350,000 to the settlement while the appeal was pending.
